First of all, I would like to deliver my deepest gratitude to Allah SWT, The Almighty. May the blessing and peace of Allah always be given to His Messenger, our prophet Muhammad SAW who has been delegated by Him to improve the behavior of the human being.

Ladies and gentlemen
Today, in this 21st century, unfortunately millions of people in Indonesia are still living under poverty. It is hard for them to buy foods, let alone to get good jobs. Some of us today, we are lucky to have good education, we can go to school so we can continue to university, and obtain degrees. But don’t forget ladies and gentlemen, there are lot of people out there who don’t go to school, they can’t work for government or any good jobs. So, what is the solution? Should they stay in their poverty? No, ladies and gentlemen, we have to help them.
We have to do something. Because “Innallaha laa yughayyiruma biqaumin” [Allah won’t change the destiny of a community] hatta [Untill] yughayyiruu maa bi anfusihim [They try/ they do something]”. We have to change this condition, and there is a solution, Entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship is as simple as selling poridge. But now, entrepreneurship is not popular in the view ofIndonesian people. A lot of people prefer to be an employee than being an entrepreneur.
Based on the statistic issued by Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics shows that the number of entrepreneur in Indonesia is less than 1.55% of the total number of Indonesian resident. Meanwhile, to build a developed country we need at least 2% of entrepreneur.
If we try to compare it to Singapore in which the number of entrepreneur is 7.2%, our country is far left behind. Meanwhile, if our country can create more and more entrepreneurs, we will eventually be a developed country.

Why we need more entrepreneur?
The world community is currently facing globalization so hard. The existence of the tight competition in the era of globalization demands professions to be professional so as to maintain their existence.
In my opinion, a suitable professional profession in the era of globalization is entrepreneurship. Why? Because in entrepreneurship, employers are required to continue developing the idea and follow the times to develop products that are produced in order to be able to compete with others.

One of the economic problems that Indonesia also faced today is unemployment.
Based on the statistic issued by Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, the number of unemployment in Indonesia is 7.24 million. It is very alarming. The unemployment rate in Indonesia is still relatively high.
The role of government is not enough if people are less supportive. Society must also be active in combating the problem of unemployment.
With entrepreneurship, we can create new jobs for the community. This is one of the advantages becoming an entrepreneur. In addition, entrepreneurship can help others to obtain jobs and reduce unemployment in the community. As we know, the number of unemployed could be an opportunity crime, because it is difficult to get money that is frustrating. Rasulullah once said that Kaadal faqru ayyakuuna kufra [Indeed, poverty is close to kufur]. Thus, another positive side for becoming entrepreneurs in this context is to help reduce the level of crime and into the fields of worship.

Being an entrepreneur will never be bound by time, what we would do, what we would make, all depends on us. Therefore, an entrepreneur must be smart and clever in managing the time spent in the business. Maximizing a little time and make benefits are amazing.
We will get more freedom by being an entrepreneur. Freedom is a very precious thing. Freedom means a person can do whatever he wants without any blocking. In the context of entrepreneurship, freedom is how to manage time, human resources, tools and materials as well as the objectives to be achieved as the person pleases.

Our country is also in need for more leaders who can work earnestly. Who doesn’t know Jokowi and Ahok? They were first, known when becoming the Governor and Vice Governor of Jakarta. But did you know that before they go into politics, they are also entrepreneurs. Remember, Indonesia not only has the State Palace, the MPR/DPR, Or DKI Jakarta province alone. There are still 32 other and also there are various state institutions that are still queuing to be led by leaders who have high integrity and a wide range of properties/characters which can be obtained from the experience of entrepreneurship.

Now, you know how important entrepreneurship to our life, our country. Entrepreneurship is the way we take control of our lives in a tough economy (Lori Greiner).
If we want to try, we won’t be loose. If we wan’t to fight for the changes, just believe, we will make it happened. If not us, who will? Just like what Peter Drucker said “The best way to predict the future is to create it”.
